As a solution focused clinical hypnotherapist, I will enable you by helping you understand how your brain works and how to take control.  You will learn that the brain is a solution focused machine: when we know better, we do better.
 

This approach is designed to reduce anxiety and calm the mind. Therapy sessions focus on identifying solutions – positive steps towards your preferred future, rather than analysing problems of the past. We cannot change what has already happened, but we can change our way of thinking about it, as well as the way we think about the present and the future. If you have experienced unpleasant events, we acknowledge they happened and help you move forward, getting you from where you are to where you want to be.  
 

During Solution Focused Hypnotherapy we use a variety of different techniques that have been proven time and time again to be highly effective in bringing about positive and sustained change. Above all, we endeavor to make this process an enjoyable one and we do not spend time going over painful past memories, focusing instead on the present and the future. We do of course use the immensely powerful and completely natural state of hypnosis to help bring about these positive changes.
 

During trance we are able to quieten the voice in our heads that stems from the conscious part of our brain. In so doing we gain access to the sub-conscious mind which is less judgmental and can take on board information, ideas and suggestions far more readily. Modern tools such as MRI scanners have demonstrated that whilst we are in this state of hypnosis, we are using different parts of the brain, particularly those same areas we use for decision making and error detection.
 

As a clinical hypnotherapist, I will help you utilise this state to encourage positive change, allow you to achieve your full potential and achieve your goals whatever they may be. This trance state is an entirely pleasant experience, simply created through the use of relaxation and visualisation techniques.
